Press Start 2P Font

Push Start 2P is an 8-bit bitmap font derived from Namco arcade games of the eighties and is best suited for measurements of 16px, 8px or other multiples of 8. Its design was inspired by Atari game “Sprint”, however its TrueType conversion uses glyphs based on “Return of Ishtar”, one of many popular titles that included lowercase letters as uppercase ones for its display fonts.

Contrary to its original font featured in “Return of Ishtar,” ROM Press Begin 2P offers non-ASCII Unicode characters for use across Europe – this includes Greek as well as Cyrillic scripts – making it possible to expand it to support additional scripts.
