This typeface was designed by Ksenia Erulevich who states that she was inspired by Lewis Carrol’s ‘Alice’ and wanted to create a typeface that would be appropriate for typesetting that book.
It emerged as a rather odd and charming font, somewhat antique, with expanded proportions, an open counter, and gently rounded corners; ideal for extended lines of text for meditation and song lyrics as well as headlines.
This is actually Ksenia’s first typeface project, which she developed as a part of her diploma project in a Type and Typography class in Moscow, Russia.
