Antic Slab Font Family

This font was created primarily for use as headlines for newspapers and magazines. It is an Antic Type System super family that is still in the process of development and this is the first release of the Slab family. It balances with the Sans and Didone versions and allows the designer to make harmonic and energetic typography with all three families of the type system.

All the families in the type system have a large x-height, which makes them ideal to use on the web, as they are very legible. Each also has a slightly higher stress level due to handwriting. Antic Slab’s slab serifs are understated, which makes the font work well in layouts. As a modern sans-serif typeface with a reduced amount of strokes, it is ideal for cost effective typesetting, on paper and on digital media.

The Antic Type System is currently under development and is constantly receiving updates.
