Vesper is based on classical design, but has a very contemporary look to it; it makes reading comfortable and not monotonous at all. Vesper Devanagari was begun by Rob Keller in 2006 and its Latin characters borrowed from it. This process was described in detail in a I Love Typography article in 2009. The Devanagari character set was finalised in 2014 with inputs from Kimya Gandhi.
Vesper Libre is the version that is specifically designed for the internet and is a little more refined than the rest. Some small aspects have been made more simplistic, and the character set has been minimized for the best approach of elegant web typeface that is not slowed down by heavy page loading.
