Almendra Font

Almendra is a typeface design derived from calligraphy. Looking like gothic and chancery hands, it was designed especially for extensive texts, for example, children’s literature. Almendra stands out as an attractive font with a black and white background even when used in a small scale; the many aspects displayed by the font are more pronounced when enlarged.

Its compatibility was a primary concern for Almendra, most especially when it comes to formality and legibility. Chosen to participate in Bienal Iberoamericana of Diseno 2010 and selected to be a part of Typodarium 2012 edited by the German Editororial Project Typodarium 2012. This family is quite representative; other sister families will be expected to emerge in Little Cap or Show based families.
