Voces Font

Voces is a graphic solution designed for the IPA with a focus on bilingual dictionary applications. To meet this need, it was designed as a sans-serif font with slow strokes and wide counterforms, an enormous x-height and relatively short ascenders and descenders.

These capabilities are to address problems of space organization and print quality of the dictionary type of setting, as well as functional and aesthetic criteria involved in the selection of ink traps for their location. For this reason, Voces was chosen to be part of the Tipos Latinos 2010.
