Salsa Font

Salsa has its origin in the album covers of LP from 1970s and because of this it is considered as one of the most popular genre from Latin America. Also, this musical genre does not conform to the grunge stereotype, the vernacular styles, or any other adorned styles; therefore the font was designed with the inspiration of the vertical form of an italic design with the characteristic of brush stroke and nature.

Salsa was created for a final exam of a master degree in Typography in University of Buenos Aires and it is intended to be used for titles and small pieces of texts; the construction of Salsa was based on the concept of Swash Caps.
