Katibeh being the headline font remains close to the Naskh though elements are borrowed from Thuluth script. The vertical upstrokes in the lettering type Katibeh look more serious like serif, but many other aspects of the style look as if they are borrowed from today and are futuristic – this gives a great balance between traditional and modern. Moreover, for the Arabic and Persian readers, it will be easy for them to read longer samples in the Katibeh script because many ligatures are familiar to them.
While the core style of the Rubaiyy-al-ghaiv is typical of many Arabic typefaces, the Latin font that Katibeh used is much more suitable for Arabic and hence more appropriate for texts containing extended Arabic and Latin scripts.
