Product sans is another sans-serif type designed by the Google for branding, which replaced the logo of the company on the 1st of September in 2015. The company aimed to maintain the continuity of its brand image across devices and platforms; thus, it created Product sans. Google also found out that Product Sans could easily blend with the company’s logo in numerous applications and product branding without having the ability to dominate the logo.
Still, the Product Sans is using a primary branding font to ensure that their brand’s new identity is solid and has a font that may be different in appearance and tone compared to other textual elements of the interfaces within the Material Design, which has become part of Google’s branding system and a combination of form and function is achieved here.
