Scout Font Family

Cyrus Highsmith came up with Scout and its logotype for Geraldine Hessler’s design of Entertainment Weekly. This huge family is the first one in over 10 years to have a major typographic update – sidebars and captions use Regular as well as Bold styles while Light Black Condensed styles form its core display.

Scout’s design draws upon elements from modern and older architectural traditions: DIN, Venus and Cairoli were the three best contestants in this competition. Besides, this model is also advised to be used in Newspaper magazines, Books and Corporate settings.
