Rift was born as a concept when I was working on an arcade game called Control. The theme of time travel and sci-fi motifs inspired me to look for titles and fonts in old sci-fi posters from the past that could be used as inspiration.
The discovered one was a big geometric type that had been built on the basis of simple square-sans typography. After this investigation a bold font that can be used on card titles and logos for games was designed.
