Gilang Purnama and Ilham Herry’s first vintage digital typefoundry album, Ephemera Fonts is the long awaited work; each letter takes the listener back to 18th century France through Ephemera Sickles – it really creates an amazing journey back in time!
The Ephemera Sickles is a ornamented typeface which was inspired by the Victorian period (1800-1900). Engrossers of that time used this font on the official documents, for example certificates and diplomas.
Great attention was paid to the design of each letter so that it would correspond with the style of Sickels Lettering, Spencerian styles and Penmanship Journal book research findings as well as any results from future research.
Charles Sickels was the one who led Electro-Light Engraving Co in New York City during early 20th century and thus his style had its name – Charles was head of Electro-Light Engraving Co’s art department at that time!
Ephemera Sickles typeface has got a distinctively bold look in any design, whether you are creating a logo or visual branding to poster packaging and beer labels to classic retro hotel interior design projects.
