Aileron Font Family

Aileron is the interpretation of a typeface which is a Sans Serif categorized under the Neo-Grotesque family of Helvetica. To distinguish it from the capital letters I we made the l, the letter in lower case l curved at the bottom to show slight variation in text appearance.

One can also observe this by writing the letter “i”, “j”, or periods within an arc, the curving parts of clothoid curves give a gentle touch. More in the style of Helvetica regarding the design; more in the concept of Univers.

Beginning with the Dot Colon font, Italic type was subsequently developed. However, as for vision correction, it was incorporated to avoid inconvenience for its users despite the subject’s mechanical orientation.
