Mexcellent was my first design as of 2000 and is a trilinear display typeface derived from the 1968 Mexico Olympic logo. It featured an unrestricted character set as well as two styles: Regular and 3D; the latter had drop shadows but no fill layer; while suitable for white backgrounds it lacked vibrancy and required extra tricks to enhance color. Mexcellent’s latest version offers many enhancements: additional space and better kerning; as well as new mathematical symbols, languages and fractions.
Both regular and 3D styles are available for download; separate layers for buying allow creating multicolored effects; Mexcellent Regular has tighter spacing than other layers, so it is not recommended to use it for stacking with other styles; for this purpose, it is recommended to use Mexcellent Middle, Mexcellent Middle & Mexcellent Outside layers.
Fonts usually have a license that permits free commercial use called desktop license and enables the client to download the fonts to the computer and utilize them on posters, games graphics, web graphics and videos, T-shirts, logos, signs and many more.
