Readex is the world-script version of Lexend developed by Thomas Jockin and Nadine Chahine, tested and compatible with Latin and Arabic scripts. Lexend itself was developed by Bonnie Shaver-Troup and Thomas Jockin in 2018 using their individually optimized text formation factors and research studies have demonstrated how reading proficiency instantly improves when using Readex.
This font was inspired by Andrew Paglinawan’s 2008 Quicksand project, started on Google Fonts by Thomas Jockin. Thomas modified Quicksand specifically to meet its intended task of improving fluency for low-performing readers (including those living with dyslexia).
