Magreb is an elegant serif typeface inspired by Garamond and Venetian Serif styles, emphasizing elegance and softness with its combination of weights and italics to combine history with modernity in one timeless composition.
To create fonts, begin with an ellipse-shaped brush with an appropriate slope for simulating calligraphy pen strokes. Next, create simple serifs by refining vectors and softening joints until it appears natural – then transform from normal weight to bold!
Magreb has expanded their Latin characters library to support over 200 Latin-based languages. We implemented opentype features, including superscript and subscript characters, Denominator/Numeretor features and Old Style figures as well as lining figures.
