Blackletter or Old English as it was known a thousand years ago is a form of written language dating back over 1000 years, when it was popularly used throughout Western Europe as a script. But it must be stressed that Old English or blackletter does not correspond directly with any existing Old English dialect, nor with older English written in blackletter script. There are various forms of blackletter, including Textualis, which is the most calligraphic form; Schwabacher which was commonly utilized in early German printing typefaces; Fraktur which is the most widely utilized German Blackletter Typeface Typeface.
According to Wikipedia, Old English font is a recreation of William Caslon’s Caslon Black typeface and distinguished by its engraving-like appearance.
