Alegreya Font Family - Dafont Free

Alegreya was awarded at the ATypI Letter2 competition in September 2011 being included in the list of 53 Fonts of the Decade and ranking among 14 text type systems. It was also chosen for the 2nd Bienal Iberoamericana de Diseño, competition that took place in Madrid in 2010.

Alegreya is a typeface that was designed for literature. Among its outstanding features, it has a fast and diverse pulse that helps when reading large volumes of text. Also, it brings the new element to the page while talking about the calligraphic letter, not in a direct sense, but in the context of contemporary typeface.

There is no less care and concern given to the design of the italic as there is for the roman. The bold weights are powerful and, the Black weights are very risky for the given music style. There is also a Small Caps sibling family.

It is necessary to note that, besides the high performance, Alegreya offers a rather powerful and balanced text through the use of elements developed in the context of diversity.
