Akira Kobayashi relied on almost constant contact with Adrian Frutiger, the creator of Avenir font family, in order to create Avenir Next Pro. As a result we have the versatility of Akira combines his own love for fast, innovative ideas and distinctive style with respect for Frutiger’s original vision and Avenir Next Pro is no longer simply modern but a totally new typeface ahead of itself time in software history.
