K-Type’s Banks & Miles fonts were influenced by the geometric monoline lettering designed by London design company Banks & Miles for the British Post Office in 1970, a project conceived and overseen by partner John Miles and comprising of ‘Double Line’ and ‘Single Line’ alphabets. The newly designed digital font is a re-imagining and expansion of both alphabets.
The Banks & Miles Double Line is available in three weights – Light, Regular and Dark – achieved by altering the thickness of the inline.
Banks & Miles Single Line enlarges the unused companion sans into a three weight family – Regular, Medium and Bold – each with an optically corrected oblique.
Banks & Miles Single Line (regular) is free for personal use, and the full typefaces and Commercial Licences are available from: BUY HERE
