Berlina Font Family

Berlina is a group of show fonts that are similar to geometric fonts that were used in the beginning of the current century, including bold, frequent and Bold X fonts. Initially, Berlin had only four variants derived from these basic geometric typefaces but soon in this spring, Mark and I began working on modifying Mr Red and establishing an appropriate font system which could be used on phrases and tr Ivitation messages.

With regard to font designers, there is still a long way to go to become one. It took quite a long time to decide on the designs and after much consideration, the hand made designs disturbed my typeface design; however, I managed to produce Berlina, Slaberlin and Uberlin with three sizes each of Standard, Bold and X-Bold (with Berlin’s usual italics).

To be more specific, I have named the principal characters based on R. E. M. ’s new album that I was listening to while drawing out the first sketches.
