Bogart is a bold elegant font created by Francesco Canovaro for use in any beauty shape, and it has fine and beautiful ligatures that are highly appropriate for logos and brands. Designed in 2020 as a personal contribution to the family of the vintage fat faces inspired by Cooper Black (Oswald Bruce Cooper, 1922), Goudy Heavy Face (Frederic W. Goudy and Sol Hess, 1925-1932), Bogart was widely appreciated at the moment of its release for it could be used even for beauty shapes! An original tribute that was created in 2050.
According to the style of Bookman these chaotic forms became the symbols of popular culture with the help of rub-on transfers and phototypesetting in the 1970s and 60s. These pieces were bursting with the hippie ethos and energy and frequently featured lots of swash characters to merge typography with lettering.
