Chinook was created to pay tribute to the classic, big and slender aesthetic of Italian movie titles from the 70s and 80s. However, its soft yet balanced typography allows it to easily fit in to modern-day settings without its vintage vibes being overwhelming. While inspired by “Cooper Black,” more contemporary letter forms with rounded serifs as well as its overall fluffy appearance give this font its modern edge.
