Eczar is designed by Vaibhav Singh & David Brezina, and released by Rosetta Type Foundry as an academic typeface project of Vaibhav Singh during his study at the University of Reading, UK in 2010.
Eczar was intended to introduce liveliness and vigour to multi-script typesetting in Latin and Devanagari scripts, to provide modernist alternatives existing styles in use today in both performance and character in display and text sizes.
Heavy weights provide additional value and appeal for the style and design of displays and possibly the headline and show types could be more effective with heavier weights.
