Esteban Font

Esteban is a typeface for poetry and literature texts with moderate contrast, tall x height, moderate compression, strong serifs and characters optimized for readability and economy.

It has a variable stroke that lets its stems to thin or thicken ad libitum, as proved in the works of Jorge Alfredo Diaz Esteban with a pen that has modified strokes; this way, its size depends on pressure pen applied on paper – that is why this font looks more active on the website pages and the text seems to be more lively.

In text settings Esteban finds the best contrast by trying different shades of ‘colors’ of density that are available. This makes it the best choice for use in medium and low quality prints as well as web fonts.
