Introduce Facultad! This project centers around creating an institutional typeface using digital and analog methods, the study of modern structures and signs as well as traditional lines to produce an idea which will serve the Faculty of Arts at University of Cuenca in Ecuador for headlines.
Karen Cheng’s approach for designing type was followed in this project with some adjustments made to speed up work time. Facultad is used as the standard version. Facultad was conceptualized as an umbrella term to serve as the base for creating type families, consisting of various weights and variations.
