IBM Plex is the new corporate typeface for IBM worldwide and an open source project created by the IBM Brand & Experience team (BX&D). Plex is an international typeface family designed for the IBM, to reflect its brand character and evolution and the symbiotic relationship between man and machine – a concept that has been central to IBM since the beginning of the new millennium. The result is a Grotesque style typeface that is both neutral and friendly, a design that is engineered with the Plex™ detail that defines IBM.
The family includes IBM Plex Serif Font Family has excellent legibility in print, web and mobile interfaces. Plex’s three designs are effective individually, but are even more effective when combined. Utilise the Sans as a modern companion, the Serif for narrative purposes, or the Mono for code samples. Even more choice for your designs is the fact that the italics are unexpectedly expressive.
