Josefin Slab Font was the very first typeface I imagined in my head! But initially I used Josefin Sans as I noticed geometric typefaces were popular during the 1920s/30s; seeing this, it struck me that something between Kabel and Memphis, which incorporates current information would look fantastic!
As I preferred the Scandinavian design aesthetic, I placed special emphasis on diacritics. Particularly interesting was “ae”, with its even loops connecting into an even way and solid angles such as that found on “e”.
Josefin Sans is an iconic typewriter design that I have always preferred over Letter Gothic since high school, which inspired me to make an Slab version from Josefin Sans.
