Essentially, quicksand is considered a type of font style that does not have serifs, the ends of the glyph being curves. Created by Andrew Paglinawan in the year 2008 based on geometric forms, the possibilities of using Quicksand only for display means can be easily overcome since the font is quite legible even in a smaller size.
Thomas Jockin changed it again from what Andrew originally designed although seemed to enhance it.
