Quieta Serif Font Family

Quieta is a humanist serif typeface which was designed with the idea of Italian Renaissance aesthetics in mind and also inspired by Artemisa Gentileschi, who was the first woman to be accepted to an Academy of Fine Arts in Italy. The designer, Maria Chiara Fantini, has incorporated sharp flat-nib calligraphic strokes to give a modern look to the humanist proportions which are traditional.

The classical details (for example, the beak of the “e” and the angled stress of the “o”) are counterbalanced by a modern and readable low-contrast design that was created in six weights with a corresponding set of true italics. A Display weight, with lighter shapes and stronger contrast has been devised to be the best in logos, headlines and captions.

Quieta is a typeface that has the wide range of alternative, decorative and swash glyphs and it fully covers over 200 extended latin languages. It makes Quieta solid, highly readable and elegant which is ideal for body text both on screen and in print.
