Science Gothic Font

Science Gothic is a variable font with weight, width and contrast axes. It will also have a slant axis in the long run. Although the medium weight was modeled directly from the initial Bank Gothic typeface from the early 1930s, a lowercase, design axes and language support have been developed subsequently.

Bank Gothic typeface was designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1930-34 for the American Type Founders. Science Gothic is a group project, the first font was created by Thomas Phinney, Brandon Buerkle, Igor Freiberger and Vassil Kateliev.
