Volkhov Serif Font Family

Volkhov is a light serif typeface that has a strong appearance, which is designed for creating an encouraging reading environment. Being a four-weight family, it is rather appropriate for the complex text conditions as it is economic and legible, contemporary and obvious. Many of its design solutions relate to this purpose: high descenders, small x-heights, and extremely short ascenders, wide counters, brutal asymmetric serifs.

The spacing in Bold is slightly larger than the normal weight due to the fact that the bold mass primarily developed inwards. The Italic has a higher pitch and a specific calligraphically reminiscent appearance compared to the Regular typeface as its counterpart.
